Author Biographies

Sandra Herling, University of Siegen

Dr. Sandra Herling works at the Department of Romance Studies at the University of Siegen. Her research focuses on Spanish, French, and Catalan onomastics. Further research areas are: Colonial Linguistics, Human Animal Studies, Language Policy, Folk Linguistics, Language and Racism.

Maribel Cedeño Rojas, University of Siegen

Maribel Cedeño Rojas holds a PhD in Translation, Interpreting and Hispanic Philology from the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. She works at the Department of Romance Studies at the University of Siegen. Her current teaching and research activities focus on audiovisual translation, multilingual film and diegetic translation, film analysis, auto- and metafiction, and intertextuality. She teaches in the areas of Literary and Cultural Studies, Applied Linguistics and Spanish as a Foreign Language.
