Dimitri Almeida, University of Göttingen

Dimitri Almeida teaches French and Francophone civilisation at the Seminar for Romance Philology at the University of Göttingen. His research focuses on questions related to secularism and immigration in contemporary France. His publications include The impact of European integration on political parties: Beyond the permissive consensus (Routledge 2012) and Laizität im Konflikt: Religion und Politik in Frankreich (Springer VS 2017). His work on the Front National has appeared in journals such as Modern & Contemporary France, French Cultural Studies and the International Journal of Cultural Policy.
