First Call for Papers live now!

2025-09-01

We are proudly presenting the first Call for Papers (CfP) where we focus on Current Trends and Future Pathways of Technology in Vocational Education and Training!

We invite submissions for a special session on "Current Trends and Future Pathways of Technology in Vocational Education and Training" (VET). As technological advancements, especially AI, rapidly transform workplaces—affecting banking, personnel recruitment, and beyond—educational institutions face the challenge of adapting teaching and learning accordingly. We seek contributions that systematically review, synthesize, and evaluate the current state of research on technology in VET. Topics of interest include research paradigms, methodological approaches, competency models, effects of technology on teaching and learning outcomes, institutional and curricular strategies, and their implications for practice and future research. Preferred contributions are systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, or evidence gap maps that connect findings directly to VET contexts. The goal is to create an interim balance sheet, offering guidance for designing effective vocational training and identifying research gaps. Considerations should span broad definitions of technology and include insights from neighboring disciplines. Contributions will help practitioners and researchers better understand the existing knowledge landscape and support the development of innovative, evidence-based approaches to integrating technology into VET.
