A new journal issue, and a new journal section
A new issue of the Journal of Language and Aging Research (vol. 2, no. 2) has been published!
Alongside the research articles that usually appear in the journal, with this issue a new section has been introduced: corpus presentations. These brief articles are included in the interest of Open Science, as a way to let those in the field of Language and Aging Research know about the sorts of corpora that other researchers have developed, and to provide information on how researchers might be able to use them in their own work.
The research articles appearing in this issue are:
- Designing health messages for older adults: Factors that influence older adults’ perceptions of hope for making health behavior changes (Amber Worthington, Britteny Howell, Allexis Mahanna & Najma Musa)
- Preliminary findings of expository discourse in older adults: The impact of cognition, social support, and gender (Hana Kim, Stephen Kintz & Heather Wright)
The journal’s inaugural corpus presentations are:
- Videos to study Interactions in AGEing (VIntAGE): A longitudinal, ecological and multimodal French corpus (Guillaume Duboisdindien & Catherine T. Bolly)
- The FRA Corpus from the DISease and AGEing Project (Francesca M. Dovetto & Francesca Marra)
