Author Biography

  • Soidiki Assibatu, University of Strasbourg

    Soidiki Assibatu teaches modern literature in a high school in Mayotte. He is additionally completing his PhD in French and Francophone literature at the University of Strasbourg. His current research interests are Comorian literature written in French, especially the relation between literature and history. He is an active member of the editorial committee of the literature magazine PROJECT-îles, a magazine that analyzes, reflects and critically reviews arts and literature of the Indian Ocean. Particularly, he published two papers in the recent issue about Mayotte’s literature (N° 7, septembre-octobre 2017): „La parole féminine dans Mon mari est plus qu’un fou, c’est un homme de Nassur Attoumani“ and „L’empreinte d’Aimé Césaire dans la poésie de Nassuf Djailani et d’Edouard Maunick“.
