Prof. Dr. Vedi R. Hadiz is a professor of Asian Societies and Politics at Murdoch University, Australia, and Australian Research Council Future Fellow. His publications include Workers and the State in New Order Indonesia (London: Routledge, 1997), Reorganising Power in Indonesia: The Politics of Oligarchy in an Age of Markets (co-author with Richard Robison) (London: Routledge Curzon, 2004), and most recently, Localising Power in Post-Authoritarian Indonesia: A Southeast Asia Perspective (Stanford: Stanford University Press, 2010).
