Erdmute Alber holds the chair of Social Anthropology at the University of Bayreuth. She led the DFG-funded research project “Social Parenthood in West Africa” and is currently heading up the project “Inner Family Resource Flows and Intergenerational Relationships in West Africa” (also funded by the DFG). She is also the vice-dean of the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS) and the editor of the journal Sociologus.

Tabea Häberlein

Tabea Häberlein is a research assistant within the scope of the DFG-funded research project “Inner Family Resource Flows and Intergenerational Relationships in West Africa” at the University of Bayreuth, and is a doctoral student at the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS).

Jeannett Martin

Jeannett Martin is a post-doc fellow at the University of Bayreuth and leads the DFG-funded research project “Child Fosterage in the Context of Interethnic Heterogeneity (Borgu/Republic of Benin)”. Previously, she worked on the project “Social Parenthood in West Africa”.
