Yet, anthropology has <br />been more preoccupied with exchange and gift giving. The now growing anthropology of <br />sharing has focused mostly on the economy at large, but with this special issue we home in on<br />the everyday ethics of sharing. W e do so to illuminate the profound responsivity of the human <br />ethical condition, which is to say the “with of being” ( Al Mo hammed 2010; Hollan and Throop<br />2008)— the way our being and flourishing as humans is intimately connected with the being of <br />others.
